Ahmedabad:  HydraSure, the consumer hydration brand from Antila Lifesciences Private Limited, has officially launched in India, aiming to expand the role of Oral Rehydration Solutions (ORS) beyond illness and recovery and position hydration as part of everyday life.

Following an initial market pilot in March 2026, the brand is preparing to expand its presence across retail, modern trade, e-commerce, quick commerce, HORECA, institutions and key accounts. HydraSure is currently available in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi-NCR, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam and the Northeast, with plans to widen its distribution network across India ahead of summer 2027.

Expanding ORS beyond illness and recovery

HydraSure aims to broaden consumer awareness of hydration across everyday situations such as travel, outdoor activities, fitness, long working hours and exposure to heat, while retaining the established credibility of the ORS category.

“India’s ORS category has been built on trust over many years, but it has largely been seen as a medical product. We saw an opportunity to make it more relevant to everyday life, as travel, fitness and outdoor activity grow and people pay more attention to their health and well-being,” said Rahil Shah, Managing Director of Antila Lifesciences and Founder of HydraSure.

Product portfolio and expansion plans

The brand’s current ready-to-drink portfolio includes 200 ml tetra packs in Coconut, Nimbu Pani and Orange flavours, priced at an MRP of ₹31.50. Its ORS sachets are available in Orange, Coconut and Watermelon flavours in a 21.80 gm format, priced at an MRP of ₹23.33. According to the company, the products are based on the WHO-recommended ORS formula.

HydraSure plans to introduce Watermelon in its ready-to-drink range and is developing additional hydration products, including flavoured hydration supplement powders, hydration bombs, fruit water, fruit drinks, hydration gels, and hydration and recovery drinks.

“Most of us don’t notice we need fluids until we feel tired or can’t focus, and we put it down to a busy day. HydraSure is meant to be a daily hydration partner, something that people reach for before they feel worn out. Moreover, if our aim is to make hydration a daily habit, it has to be easy. With HydraSure Plus, we are introducing newer formats that fit seamlessly into one’s day,” said Vidhi Prajapati, Co-founder of HydraSure.

Consumer engagement and distribution

HydraSure has established hydration activation touchpoints at more than 15 leading Garba venues and has conducted an iPhone Duo contest as part of its early consumer engagement initiatives. The brand plans further contests and giveaways to build awareness and encourage consumer interaction.

Its distribution expansion strategy includes retail outlets, modern trade, e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms. The company plans to make the brand available through platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Instamart and Flipkart Minutes.

Antila Lifesciences’ consumer healthcare ambitions

Founded in 2010, Ahmedabad-based Antila Lifesciences began with domestic and export pharmaceutical operations before expanding into finished formulations, domestic pharmaceuticals and consumer healthcare. The company entered the domestic over-the-counter market in 2023 with 125 products in Gujarat and has since expanded into more than 12 states.

Antila Lifesciences currently employs more than 250 professionals and operates WHO-GMP-certified manufacturing facilities with systems aligned with ISO 9001:2015. HydraSure is positioned as a key brand within the company’s dedicated consumer division.

According to company estimates, India’s ORS market is valued at approximately ₹900 crore to ₹1,100 crore in 2026, while the broader hydration and wellness market is estimated at ₹8,500 crore to ₹10,000 crore. The company estimates annual growth in the ORS category at around 12% to 15% and aims to capture approximately 5% to 7% of the market over the next one to two years, based on its internal business plans.

With its expanding distribution network and product pipeline, HydraSure aims to build a broader consumer conversation around hydration and establish it as a more familiar part of everyday routines.
