New SXR GT 125 hp-e and 175 hp-e feature bold styling, 14-inch wheels, advanced technology and touring-focused capabilities
Pune: Aprilia India has introduced the all-new SXR GT range, comprising the SXR GT 125 hp-e and SXR GT 175 hp-e, aimed at redefining the urban-touring scooter experience with a combination of performance, comfort, technology and distinctive Italian design.
The new SXR GT range is designed to transition from everyday urban commuting to longer weekend journeys. Both variants feature 14-inch wheels, a signature Tripod LED headlamp and bold new graphics, while the range offers six new liveries across the two engine options.
The SXR GT 125 hp-e is priced at a special launch price of ₹1,09,999, ex-showroom Maharashtra, while the SXR GT 175 hp-e is priced at ₹1,29,999, ex-showroom Maharashtra. The 125cc variant is offered in Matte Black, Glossy Azzurro and Glossy White, while the 175cc version comes in Metallic Blue, Matte Black and Matte Green.
Performance and Technology
The SXR GT range is powered by air-cooled engines in 125cc and 175cc configurations. The 175cc hp-e engine produces 9.76 kW at 7,200 rpm and 14.14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, while the 125cc hp-e engine delivers 7.8 kW at 7,400 rpm and 10.4 Nm at 6,200 rpm. Both engines are BS VI OBD II Stage B compliant and compatible with E20 fuel.
The SXR GT 175 hp-e gets a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, music and call management, navigation and turn-by-turn navigation. The SXR GT 125 features a 5-inch LCD display.
The 175cc variant also comes equipped with front-wheel ABS and a 220 mm front disc brake, while the 125cc variant features a 220 mm front disc brake with CBS and a 140 mm rear drum brake. Both variants feature five-position adjustable rear suspension.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Diego Graffi, Chairman and MD, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, said the new SXR GT range reflects the growing demand for premium scooters that combine performance, comfort, technology and individuality, while bringing Aprilia’s performance DNA and Italian design to modern Indian lifestyles.
The SXR GT range also offers touring-focused accessories, including an adjustable windshield and crash guard, allowing riders to customise the scooter for longer journeys. The Aprilia SXR GT is now open for bookings at Aprilia dealerships across India.
