AMA Hosts ODOP Exhibition and EXIM Conclave in Vadodara to Strengthen Gujarat’s Global Trade Ambitions

Vadodara : The GoG-AMA Centre for International Trade at Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), in association with the Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI), Baroda Management Association (BMA) and Quality Council of India (QCI), hosted the One District One Product (ODOP) Exhibition and EXIM Conclave 2026 at the FGI Business Centre in Vadodara.

Held under the theme “Vadodara to the World: Engineering Prosperity, Unlocking Global Trade Corridors,” the conclave brought together industry leaders, trade experts, MSMEs and stakeholders to explore opportunities for expanding Gujarat’s engineering and chemical clusters into international markets.

Two-Day ODOP Exhibition

The two-day One District One Product (ODOP) Exhibition, held from August 21 to August 22, provided a platform for product showcases, business networking and discussions around strengthening district-level products and connecting them with wider domestic and international markets.

The programme featured sessions focused on export readiness, international accreditation, free trade agreements, logistics, digital marketplaces and emerging technologies.

Gujarat as a Global Engineering Hub

The keynote address was delivered by Shri Arun Mahesh Babu, M.S., IAS, Municipal Commissioner, Vadodara, who spoke on “Positioning Gujarat as a Global Engineering Hub.”

The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Unmesh Dixit, Executive Director, Ahmedabad Management Association; Mr. Sameer Khera, President, Federation of Gujarat Industries; and Dr. Mangla Chouhan, President, Baroda Management Association.

A panel discussion titled “The Global Blueprint: Taking District Engineering & Chemical Clusters to the World” featured Mr. Vikram Singhal, Managing Director, Gulbrandsen Technologies (India) Pvt. Ltd., and Mr. Ujjval Shah, Director, Prakash Chemicals International Pvt. Ltd. The session was moderated by Ms. Priyanka Verma, Deputy Secretary General, Federation of Gujarat Industries.

Focus on Global Market Access

Dr. Bhumi Rajyaguru, Joint Director, NABL, Quality Council of India, conducted a special session on “Navigating NABL Accreditation for Global Market Entry,” highlighting the importance of internationally recognised quality and accreditation standards for businesses seeking global markets.

The conclave also featured a masterclass on Free Trade Agreements conducted by Mr. Ankit Majmudar, Founder & CEO, Global Business Solutions and AMA EXIM Faculty, on “The New Trade Paradigm: How Recent FTAs Level the Playing Field for Indian Businesses.”

Another panel discussion, “Breaking the Border Friction: Opportunities for MSMEs Navigating Fragmented Global Trade,” brought together Mr. Pranav Doshi, Senior Vice President, FGI & Director, Urja Power Pvt. Ltd., and Mr. Ketan Parikh, Partner, SD Intermediate. The session was moderated by Ms. Manisha Thaker, Vice President, TRIALLIANCE Global Solutions, EXIM Faculty, AMA Trainer and Logistics Expert.

AI and Digital Platforms for Export Promotion

The programme also addressed the growing role of technology in international trade. Mr. Rutvij Vora, Co-Founder & CEO, Satark AI, and Ms. Pooja Sant, Manager – Inside Sales, Logibeats Freight Services Pvt. Ltd., participated in a special session on “Leveraging E-Commerce, Digital Marketplaces, and AI for Export Promotion.”

The event concluded with remarks and a vote of thanks, reinforcing the need for stronger collaboration among industry, trade bodies, government institutions and technology platforms to help Gujarat-based businesses expand their global footprint.

The ODOP Exhibition and EXIM Conclave 2026 underscored Vadodara’s potential as an important centre for engineering, chemicals and industrial manufacturing while highlighting the opportunities available to Gujarat’s MSMEs in emerging global trade corridors.
