Ahmedabad : Strengthening India’s clean energy ecosystem with next-generation solar technology, Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd. has introduced its enhanced N-Type Glass-to-Glass (G2G) Solar PV Modules, designed to deliver superior durability, higher efficiency and reliable performance even under harsh monsoon conditions and severe hailstorms.
The latest dual-glass solar modules are engineered to withstand increasingly unpredictable weather conditions, including heavy rainfall, high humidity, strong winds and hailstorms, making them suitable for both the Indian market and global regions prone to extreme weather.
A key highlight of the new modules is their ability to withstand 35 mm hail impact, significantly exceeding the conventional 25 mm requirement under IEC 61215:2021 standards. The modules have been successfully tested at a NABL-approved IEC laboratory, demonstrating enhanced resistance to glass damage and microcracks caused by hail impact.
Kosol’s advanced modules are built using thermally tempered high-strength solar glass and feature a premium Glass-to-Glass (G2G) architecture that offers superior protection against moisture, environmental stress and long-term degradation. The company has also incorporated higher GSM Polyolefin Elastomer (POE) encapsulation, which improves cushioning during transportation, vibration, thermal cycling and hail impact, ensuring consistent performance throughout the module’s operational life.
To maximise energy generation, the modules are equipped with high-transmission Anti-Reflective Coated (ARC) glass, enabling improved light absorption while maintaining high conversion efficiency across diverse climatic conditions. The modules have also successfully completed three-times IEC qualification testing, further validating their long-term reliability and durability.

The newly launched modules are available in 600 Wp, 620 Wp and 630 Wp variants and comply with IEC 61215:2021 standards. They are also offered in BIS-certified DCR configurations, including G12R and G12 models, supporting India’s growing demand for domestically manufactured, high-performance solar modules.
