Ahmedabad: Demand for mid-sized office spaces in Ahmedabad witnessed strong growth in the first half of 2026, with leasing activity in the 50,000–100,000 sq ft category rising 121% year-on-year, according to Knight Frank India.
The city recorded leasing of 0.27 million sq ft in the mid-sized segment during H1 2026, compared with 0.12 million sq ft in the corresponding period last year. These transactions accounted for 33% of Ahmedabad’s total office leasing, up from 15% a year ago.
Overall office leasing in Ahmedabad stood at 0.8 million sq ft during H1 2026, with 67% of transactions involving spaces below 50,000 sq ft and the remaining 33% comprising mid-sized offices. No transactions above 100,000 sq ft were recorded during the period. The city’s average office deal size also increased to 21,833 sq ft from 19,304 sq ft in H1 2025, reflecting growing demand for larger yet flexible office spaces.

He added that improving business confidence, expanding corporate presence and infrastructure development are expected to support healthy office demand in the coming quarters.
