Vadodara: VIBGYOR High, Vadodara is celebrating a proud international achievement as siblings Vihan Jain and Kanisa Jain brought laurels to India by winning Gold and Silver medals respectively at the Kobe Osaka International Championship held in Melbourne, Australia.
Representing India on the global stage, the young athletes showcased exceptional talent, determination, and sportsmanship against participants from various countries. Their remarkable performances stand as a testament to years of disciplined training, unwavering family support, dedicated coaching, and the school’s commitment to nurturing excellence in both academics and sports.
Vihan Jain, a Grade 5 student, clinched the Gold Medal in the Under-9 category. Reflecting on his achievement, he said, “Winning the Gold Medal for India in Melbourne is one of the happiest moments of my life. Competing against talented players from different countries taught me to stay confident, focused and never give up. I enjoy both studying and playing sports, so I make a timetable and complete my schoolwork before practice. My parents, teachers and coaches always encourage me to give my best in everything I do. This achievement has motivated me to work even harder, and I hope to represent India in many more international championships and win more medals for my country.”
His sister, Kanisa Jain, a Grade 7 student, secured the Silver Medal in the Under-12 category. Sharing her experience, she said, “Competing in Melbourne was an amazing experience, and winning a Silver Medal made it even more special. It was a proud moment for me to represent India and learn from players from different countries. Along with sports, I always give importance to my studies by managing my time well. The encouragement from my parents, teachers and coaches keeps me motivated every day. I want to continue working hard, achieve bigger milestones, and bring more medals for India in the future.”
