Bengaluru : The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), through its digital learning foundation IIMBx, has partnered with upGrad to introduce the Certificate Programme in General Management for Young Leaders (IIMB YLP), an 11-month blended learning programme designed to prepare early-career professionals for leadership and managerial responsibilities.
The inaugural cohort will begin on September 30, 2026, with applications now open.
The programme addresses one of the most significant career transitions faced by professionals—moving from being individual contributors to effective managers. While technical expertise often accelerates early career growth, leadership positions require broader business acumen, strategic thinking, decision-making capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and people management skills.
Targeted at professionals with 1 to 5 years of work experience, the programme enables learners to strengthen their management capabilities without taking a career break. Delivered through IIMBx, the curriculum combines flexible online learning with immersive on-campus experiences at IIM Bangalore. Participants will attend two campus immersion modules, providing direct interaction with faculty, peers, and the IIMB ecosystem.
The programme also features 20 live sessions with senior industry leaders and 10 faculty-led sessions by IIM Bangalore professors, blending academic excellence with practical industry perspectives.
The curriculum covers essential management disciplines, strategic thinking, leadership frameworks, and business decision-making, helping participants develop the competencies required to lead teams and drive organizational success in today’s dynamic business environment.
