New Delhi: IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, has announced the launch of direct flights between Guwahati and Deoghar, effective August 4, 2026. The new service will operate twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday, significantly improving connectivity between Northeast India and Jharkhand’s renowned spiritual destination.
The new route is expected to provide seamless travel for pilgrims, tourists, business travellers and local residents while strengthening economic, cultural and tourism ties between the two regions. Customers can book tickets through IndiGo’s official website, mobile application and authorised travel partners.
IndiGo remains the only airline offering direct connectivity to Deoghar from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The addition of Guwahati further expands access to the holy city, home to the revered Baba Baidyanath Dham Jyotirlinga, one of India’s most significant pilgrimage sites that attracts millions of devotees every year.
Guwahati, recognised as the commercial, educational and tourism gateway to Northeast India, will now enjoy enhanced connectivity with Deoghar, creating greater opportunities for tourism, religious travel and regional development.
