Gandhinagar: ZF Group is showcasing its latest commercial vehicle technologies at Prawaas 5.0, India’s premier multimodal transport exhibition, being held from July 9–11 at the Helipad Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Organised by the Bus and Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI), this year’s edition is themed ‘Towards Safe, Smart & Sustainable Public Transport’, bringing together stakeholders across the mobility ecosystem to shape the future of public transportation.
At the exhibition, ZF is presenting a comprehensive portfolio of Original Equipment (OE) and Aftermarket solutions designed to improve vehicle safety, operational efficiency, electrification and fleet uptime. The showcase reflects the company’s commitment to supporting India’s transition towards connected, sustainable and intelligent commercial mobility.

Among the key exhibits is the AxTrax 2, ZF’s integrated electric axle for light- and medium-duty buses. The modular system integrates the electric motor, inverter, electronic control unit, actuator and transmission into a compact axle assembly, eliminating the need for a conventional powertrain while enabling zero-emission operation for battery-electric, fuel-cell and trolley buses.
Also on display is the RL82A front axle, engineered specifically for low-floor city buses. Designed to improve manoeuvrability and passenger accessibility, the system offers steering angles of up to 55 degrees, precise steering geometry, internally ventilated disc brakes and a low-maintenance architecture suited to demanding urban operations.
ZF is further highlighting its advanced Door Control Solutions for buses. Compatible with both pneumatic and electric door systems, the modular electronic platform enhances passenger safety through clamping protection, emergency door opening, CAN-bus communication and flexible integration across multiple bus configurations.
The company’s Original Equipment portfolio also includes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Braking System (EBS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Controlled Air Suspension (ECAS), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), eComp Lite, Bus Connect, Bus Dampers and V Rod. Together, these technologies demonstrate ZF’s expertise in making commercial vehicles safer, cleaner, more connected and more efficient while supporting the industry’s transition towards next-generation mobility.

Complementing its OE offerings, ZF Aftermarket is displaying a robust range of fleet support solutions, including 360-degree camera systems, brake rotors, brake pads, brake linings, Golden Cartridges, coolant, power steering pumps and grease. These products are designed to deliver OE-quality reliability while enhancing vehicle uptime, safety and lifecycle performance.
Beyond the exhibition floor, ZF is also contributing to thought leadership discussions at the event. Paramjit Singh Chadha will participate as a lead panellist in the session “Electrifying School Bus Transport for a Cleaner Future,” where he will share insights on accelerating sustainable school transportation through electrification and advanced mobility technologies.
