Umangbhai Thakkar and Asmitaben Thakkar Honoured for Their Outstanding Contribution Towards the Education and Empowerment of Hearing-Impaired and Underprivileged Children
Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad Education Group (AEG) organised a grand and inspiring NGO Meet titled “Umang Se Patang” at the iconic Patang Hotel, one of Ahmedabad’s most celebrated landmarks overlooking the Sabarmati River. The event brought together educators, social leaders and distinguished guests to recognise individuals and organisations making a meaningful impact through selfless service to society.
The highlight of the event was the special felicitation of Mr. Umangbhai Thakkar, CMD of Dharmdev Infrastructure, and Mrs. Asmitaben Thakkar, Founder of the Umang Se Patang NGO, for their remarkable efforts in transforming the lives of hearing-impaired and economically disadvantaged children through quality education and empowerment initiatives.
Through the NGO, the Thakkar family has been working tirelessly to ensure that children from underprivileged backgrounds, especially those with hearing and speech disabilities, receive access to education, skill development and opportunities that enable them to become confident and self-reliant members of society. Their unwavering commitment to inclusive education and social welfare has earned widespread appreciation.
In recognition of their dedicated service, Ahmedabad Education Group presented commemorative mementoes to Mr. Umangbhai Thakkar and Mrs. Asmitaben Thakkar during the ceremony.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Pandit Ramratan Vyasji, priest of the revered Mahakal Temple in Ujjain, who delivered a peace prayer and blessed the gathering.
Mrs. Pinkiben Modi, Director of Patang Hotel, was also felicitated for her continued support and encouragement towards social initiatives and community development.
