Ahmedabad: GLS University, in collaboration with UTS College, Australia, celebrated the 3rd Convocation Ceremony of its International Global Programme in Ahmedabad, marking another significant milestone in fostering globally competent graduates. The ceremony brought together students, parents, faculty members, and academic leaders to recognize the achievements of graduates preparing to pursue international academic and professional opportunities.
The convocation reflected the shared commitment of GLS University and UTS College to delivering world-class education and creating seamless pathways for students aspiring to study and build careers on a global platform.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Dharmesh Shah, Provost of GLS University, presented the student progression report, highlighting the academic accomplishments of the graduating cohort and the continued success of the international programme.
Representatives from UTS College, Australia, Mr. Peter Harris and Ms. Aline Chiron, emphasized the growing opportunities available to students through international education partnerships. They noted that many graduates are expected to continue their higher education journey in Australia, gaining access to globally recognized academic and career opportunities.
In one of the most inspiring moments of the ceremony, Dr. Chandni Kapadia, Executive Director and International Director of GLS University, shared a thought-provoking message on resilience and determination. Narrating the story of children playing “train-train” at a construction site, she described how one child, unable to join the train, chose to participate by becoming the guard and waving a green flag.
Reflecting on the story, she remarked that life does not wait for perfect circumstances but rewards those who choose to participate with determination and optimism. Her message encouraged graduates to embrace challenges, remain resilient, and continue moving forward despite obstacles.
Congratulating the graduating students, Mr. Peter Harris said: “Whatever lies ahead for you—whether it is with UTS or wherever your journey takes you—the foundation you have built today will empower you to create meaningful impact. Be the best version of yourself, trust your abilities, and continue striving for excellence. This is only the beginning of your journey, and we are proud to be a part of it.”
Dr. Kapadia further emphasized that the diploma awarded to each graduate represents far more than academic achievement. It symbolizes perseverance, discipline, values, and the courage to seize opportunities in an increasingly interconnected world.
The ceremony concluded with a campus visit and networking dinner, providing graduates, faculty, and guests an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and strengthen academic and professional connections.
Through its collaboration with UTS College, Australia, GLS University continues to strengthen international education opportunities, equipping students with globally relevant skills, academic excellence, and the confidence to succeed in a rapidly evolving global environment.
