Kevadia, Gujarat : On the occasion of World Cycling Day 2026, approximately 100 cadets of 5 Gujarat Battalion NCC, Surat, participated in a Cycling Awareness Rally at the iconic Statue of Unity, reinforcing the importance of fitness, environmental sustainability, and healthy living. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from Gujarat Police personnel and local citizens, creating a strong community-driven movement promoting cycling as an eco-friendly and health-conscious mode of transportation.
Following the rally, NCC cadets engaged with members of the local community to spread awareness about the numerous benefits of cycling. Through interactive sessions and awareness activities, cadets highlighted how regular cycling contributes to improved physical fitness, reduced pollution levels, enhanced mental well-being, and a sustainable lifestyle.
