Vietjet Signs Strategic Partnerships with GMR Airports, Bird Group to Boost India-Vietnam Connectivity

Mumbai : Vietjet has signed strategic cooperation agreements with GMR Airports Limited and Bird Group to strengthen aviation, infrastructure, logistics, technology and tourism connectivity between India and Vietnam. The agreements were signed during the India–Vietnam Business Forum held alongside the state visit of To Lam to India.

The partnerships are expected to enhance bilateral cooperation in aviation infrastructure, smart airport development, logistics, travel services, hospitality and technology, while deepening economic and people-to-people ties between the two nations.

Under the agreement, Vietjet and GMR Airports Limited will explore opportunities in airport infrastructure, aviation services, logistics, smart airport initiatives and long-term investments. Vietjet’s collaboration with Bird Group will focus on ground handling services, aviation training, technology solutions, hospitality and travel services aimed at improving passenger experience.

Mr. Dinh Viet Phuong, First Vice Chairman of Vietjet, said India and Vietnam are entering a new phase of growth and strategic cooperation, adding that the partnerships with leading Indian enterprises would help create new opportunities across aviation, trade, technology and investment sectors in the Asia-Pacific region.

Over the years, Vietjet has expanded connectivity between India and Vietnam through a growing flight network linking major Indian cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Bengaluru with Vietnam. The airline currently operates 25 routes with nearly 80 weekly flights, having served more than 2.5 million passengers between the two countries.

Through these strategic collaborations, Vietjet aims to further strengthen cultural exchange, trade and economic cooperation between Vietnam and South Asia, while expanding Vietnam’s role in the regional and global aviation ecosystem.
