Jhansi: Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has announced the inauguration of three new BharatBenz service workshops across the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh in partnership with PPS Trucking. The newly launched facilities at Jhansi, Kabrai, and Chitrakoot are aimed at strengthening after-sales service support, vehicle uptime, and spare parts availability in one of the state’s busiest commercial vehicle corridors.
The expansion adds more than 1,10,000 sq. ft. of advanced service infrastructure and 18 fully equipped service bays with a combined annual servicing capacity of approximately 7,500 vehicles. The move reinforces BharatBenz’s focus on enhancing service accessibility in high-demand mining and industrial transport regions.
The flagship 40,000 sq. ft. workshop in Jhansi features 8 service bays and is strategically located on the Kanpur–Jhansi Highway (NH 27), catering to key freight routes connecting Kanpur, Banda, and Gwalior. The Kabrai workshop, spread across 60,000 sq. ft. with 7 service bays on NH 34, will support trucks operating in the prominent stone mining belt of Mahoba. Additionally, the Bharatkoop workshop in Chitrakoot offers 3 service bays over 11,000 sq. ft., serving mining and logistics operators connecting Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
Commenting on the expansion, Rajiv Chaturvedi, President & Chief Business Officer, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, said, “In Bundelkhand’s mining and infrastructure belt, every hour a vehicle is off the road is a cost our customers cannot afford. With our expansion into Jhansi, Kabrai, and Chitrakoot, we are putting world-class service and genuine spares exactly where the demand is highest. Faster turnaround, higher vehicle availability, and better operational efficiency are critical for fleet operators, and BharatBenz remains committed to being a trusted uptime partner.”
The workshops are equipped with advanced diagnostic systems, modern repair tools, and genuine BharatBenz spare parts inventory to ensure efficient and reliable maintenance support. The network also includes 24×7 roadside assistance backed by five mobile service vans for rapid on-road support.
Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director of PPS Trucking, stated, “Our partnership with BharatBenz is built on a shared commitment to delivering customer-centric and high-quality service. These new workshops enable us to provide faster and seamless support across Bundelkhand’s mining and industrial routes while helping customers maximize vehicle uptime and operational profitability.”
Designed to improve driver convenience and customer experience, the facilities also include dedicated driver rest areas and modern amenities. Operations across the three workshops will be managed by a trained team of 64 skilled technicians.
The Bundelkhand region, known for its extensive deposits of granite, sandstone, limestone, and bauxite, is a major hub for heavy-duty trucking operations supporting India’s construction, cement, and infrastructure sectors. With this expansion, BharatBenz aims to further strengthen its service footprint and support the growing logistics and mining transportation ecosystem across Uttar Pradesh.
