Ahmedabad: Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University, in collaboration with Bisleri, marked Earth Day with a series of student-led sustainability initiatives, engaging more than 300 students from various departments.
The event was designed to promote environmental awareness and encourage responsible living through interactive and educational activities. A key highlight of the celebration was a plastic recycling awareness session, where students were sensitized to the growing challenges of plastic waste and the urgent need for sustainable waste management practices. The session also focused on practical, everyday actions individuals can adopt to reduce their environmental footprint.
As part of the initiative, the university organized a poster-making competition centered around themes such as “Save Earth, Save Future,” “Say No to Plastic,” “Clean Earth, Green Earth,” and “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.” Students presented creative and thought-provoking artwork, reflecting their understanding of environmental issues and their commitment to sustainability.
The initiative served as a platform to inspire young minds to take proactive steps toward environmental conservation and adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. It also reinforced the university’s continued focus on integrating sustainability into student engagement and campus activities.
