Mauritius Delegation Visits NCC Group Headquarters in Vadodara to Explore Youth Development Model

A high-level delegation from Mauritius visited the headquarters of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Group in Vadodara on April 22, 2026, to understand its structure and explore the feasibility of establishing a similar framework in Mauritius. The delegation was led by Mrs. Dhanita Ramdharee, Deputy Permanent Secretary, accompanied by her advisor Mr. Darmalingum Mootien and Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Rajcoomar Seebah.

During the visit, the Group Commander, Vadodara, formally received the delegation and provided a comprehensive briefing on the NCC’s organizational framework, operational model, and its core focus on leadership, discipline, and nation-building among youth.

Highlighting the strong and enduring bilateral ties between India and Mauritius, the visit emphasized knowledge exchange in youth development and capacity-building initiatives. The delegation also visited the Gujarat NCC Leadership Academy in Rajpipla to observe NCC training modules and practical implementation on ground.

The visit underscores a shared commitment between the two nations to empower youth as responsible and contributing citizens. It is expected to further strengthen people-to-people connections and enhance cooperation for a progressive and collaborative future.
