Vadodara: Greenply Speciality Panels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Greenply Industries Ltd., has commenced construction of its second Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) production line at its Vadodara manufacturing facility, marking a significant capacity expansion to address rising domestic demand. The new MDF line entails an investment of ₹425 crore and is expected to be operational by the second quarter of FY2028. This expansion reinforces Greenply’s strategic focus on strengthening its manufacturing footprint and scaling operations in line with growing consumption across residential, commercial, and modular furniture segments.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Chairman & Managing Director Rajesh Mittal and Joint Managing Director Sanidhya Mittal, along with over 35 dealers and channel partners from across the region. Once commissioned, the additional MDF line will substantially enhance production capacity, enabling the company to cater more efficiently to market demand while consolidating its position in India’s competitive MDF segment. The project is also expected to generate significant employment opportunities across the value chain, contributing to regional economic development in Gujarat.
