Ahmedabad, March 5:
The Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM) successfully organised UDGAM IAC 2026, its flagship Industry–Academia Conclave, on February 27 and 28 at its Ahmedabad campus. The two-day event brought together industry leaders, academicians, policymakers, and students, transforming the campus into a vibrant platform for innovation, knowledge exchange, and collaborative dialogue.
Known for its strong industry-oriented academic framework, IITRAM curated UDGAM as a high-impact initiative aimed at bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry applications. The conclave was organised by the institute’s Career Development Centre (CDC) with support from the Industrial Extension Bureau (INDEXTb) and Gujarat Informatics Limited (GIL), reflecting a powerful convergence of academia, government, and industry.
The event witnessed participation from leading organisations including eInfochips, Deepak Group, IBM, Wonder Cement, Tata Consultancy Services, and Kalpataru Projects International Limited. Keynote sessions and panel discussions explored critical themes such as digital transformation, manufacturing excellence, infrastructure development, and the need for future-ready talent in a rapidly evolving economy.
One of the major highlights of the conclave was “Pitch Your Idea,” an innovation challenge where student teams presented solution-driven ideas before an expert jury. The competition generated significant excitement among participants, with winning teams receiving rewards and mentorship opportunities to further develop their concepts.
The conclave saw participation from around 150 students representing nearly 10 institutes across Ahmedabad, reinforcing IITRAM’s commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and industry engagement.
UDGAM IAC 2026 concluded as a dynamic and impactful platform, strengthening connections between academia and industry while inspiring students to translate ideas into practical solutions.
