Ahmedabad: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 company and a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG), is spearheading PNG Drive 2.0, a pan-India, industry-led initiative aimed at accelerating the adoption of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) across households, transport, and industrial and commercial segments.

Anchored under the unified theme “Har Ghar PNG, Har Gaadi CNG – Jiyo Non-Stop Zindagi, the initiative reflects the collective commitment of the City Gas Distribution (CGD) industry under the guidance of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB). The campaign seeks to expand the reach of clean, reliable, and affordable natural gas through a harmonised outreach framework that strengthens consumer awareness and drives last-mile adoption.

Shri Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing), BPCL, said, “PNG Drive 2.0 represents the power of industry collaboration with a shared purpose. By aligning under a single narrative, we are simplifying the choice for consumers—clean energy that is reliable, affordable, and truly non-stop. This initiative will play a catalytic role in accelerating PNG and CNG adoption and supporting India’s energy transition goals.”

Conceptualised as a collaborative movement, PNG Drive 2.0 brings together CGD entities on a common platform with shared creative assets, harmonised messaging, and a coordinated outreach strategy. The campaign highlights key benefits such as uninterrupted supply, lower emissions, cost efficiency, and operational convenience across residential, mobility, and commercial applications. To enhance consumer connect, prominent personalities have been onboarded at the industry level, reinforcing the campaign’s scale and inclusivity.

BPCL has been entrusted with leading the execution of PNG Drive 2.0 for the CGD industry in alignment with PNGRB. The company is coordinating rollout, ensuring consistent communication while allowing flexibility for localised implementation. The campaign is gaining strong momentum on the ground, with CGD teams conducting awareness programmes, community outreach, digital engagement, and on-ground activations across urban and semi-urban markets. PNG Drive 2.0 aligns with India’s vision to increase the share of natural gas in its energy mix from approximately 6.5% to 15% by 2030, supporting cleaner energy consumption, lower emissions, and improved air quality nationwide.
