Ahmedabad : The RADAR-2025 event, supported by GUJCOST and co-hosted by IITRAM’s Centre of Excellence in Advanced Defence Technology and Centre of Excellence in Aerospace and Defence, brought together prominent researchers, industry professionals, and academics. The gathering focused on exploring groundbreaking innovations in the fields of defence and aerospace. Dr. Narottam Sahoo, Adviser and Member Secretary of GUJCOST, served as the chief guest for the occasion.
The two-day event showcased keynote speeches from distinguished scientists, including Shri Ulkesh B. Desai (SAC–ISRO), Dr. K. Durga Prasad (PRL Ahmedabad), and Grp. Captain (Dr.) Rajeev K. Narang, VM (Retd.) from MP-IDSA. They addressed a range of topics, such as challenges in spacecraft design, lunar thermal discoveries, and advancements in counter-drone warfare technologies.
Technical sessions featured more than 30 presentations focusing on cutting-edge topics such as UAV development, radar-absorbing materials, AI-enhanced health monitoring, hybrid-electric propulsion systems, structural composites, and cybersecurity for defense networks. Participants from leading institutions across India shared their research on stealth applications, smart materials, and sustainable aviation technologies.
An industry interaction segment, spearheaded by Siddhi Engineers, showcased genuine manufacturing collaborations. The conference effectively encouraged dialogue across various sectors, promoted interdisciplinary research, and emphasized IITRAM’s pivotal role in advancing national defense innovation.
