ITRAM Inaugurates IEEE ICPCCI 2026, Bringing Together Experts in Power, AI and Communication Technologies

Ahmedabad : The Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM), Ahmedabad, inaugurated the 2nd IEEE International Conference on Power, Control and Communication Infrastructure (IEEE ICPCCI 2026) on October 8. The two-day international conference, being held on October 8–9, brings together researchers, academic experts and industry leaders to discuss advances in power systems, control engineering, artificial intelligence and communication infrastructure.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony. Dr. Rajeev Jyoti, Director of IN-SPACe, attended as the Chief Guest and delivered a plenary address on opportunities in space technology. Prof. Pramod Kumar Jain, Director General of IITRAM, welcomed the delegates and highlighted the institute’s commitment to cutting-edge research.

The Guests of Honour included Mr. Milind Mahajan and Mr. Sanjeev Kulshresth from SAC-ISRO, along with Prof. Maniklal Das of DAU, representing the IEEE Gujarat Section. Dr. Abhishek Rawat, Conference Chair, outlined the technical programme, while Dr. Priyesh Chauhan, Conference Chair and Head of the Electrical and Computer Science Department at IITRAM, delivered the vote of thanks.

Plenary Sessions Highlight Emerging Technologies

The plenary sessions explored emerging developments across electrical and computer science engineering. Dr. Rajeev Jyoti discussed current and future opportunities for Indian innovators in space technology.

Dr. Jignesh Patoliya, Senior Design Verification Engineer at eInfochips Pvt. Ltd., spoke about the role of chips in advancing artificial intelligence. Prof. Abhishek of IIT Kanpur highlighted the opportunities and challenges involved in designing heavy-lifting drones, particularly for operations at high altitudes.

76 Research Papers Across 10 Technical Sessions

IEEE ICPCCI 2026 features 76 research paper presentations across 10 technical sessions over the two-day conference, with participation expected from more than 300 students, faculty members and representatives from industry and government.

The technical programme covers a broad range of subjects, including artificial intelligence, healthcare, cybersecurity, communication systems, antenna technology, intelligent computing systems, electric vehicle technology, intelligent infrastructure, control systems, microgrids, smart grids, and power and energy systems.

The conference provides a platform for knowledge exchange and research discussions, bringing academic research and industry perspectives together to explore technological developments and their applications across critical infrastructure sectors.
