Neighbours. Friends. First Responders: IAF Rushes Relief and Medical Supplies to Flood-Hit Nepal
New Delhi : Responding swiftly to the devastating flash floods in Nepal, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has launched a major humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operation, deploying a C-130J aircraft carrying 10 tonnes of essential relief materials and medical supplies.
The rapid deployment underscores India’s commitment to supporting Nepal during the unfolding humanitarian crisis, reaffirming the spirit of “Neighbours. Friends. First Responders.”
The IAF has mobilised additional air assets to scale up the relief effort. C-17 and C-130 aircraft are being deployed to transport further consignments of essential humanitarian supplies, while helicopters have been earmarked for rescue and evacuation operations in affected areas.
The coordinated air operation is aimed at ensuring the rapid delivery of critical assistance to communities impacted by the devastating floods, particularly in areas where road connectivity and ground access may have been severely disrupted.
