60 Nissan TEKTON premium SUVs complete a 700+ km drive to Leh, showcasing capability, durability and engineering excellence while celebrating 75 years of Nissan SUV heritage
Ahmedabad: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has etched its name in the India Book of Records after successfully completing the largest convoy of a single-model four-wheeler to reach Leh, reinforcing the brand’s legacy of 75 years of SUV excellence. A fleet of 60 all-new Nissan TEKTON premium SUVs undertook a five-day Himalayan expedition covering more than 700 kilometres, navigating some of India’s most challenging terrains to demonstrate the SUV’s capability, durability and engineering prowess under real-world conditions.
The record-setting journey began in Chandigarh (1,053 feet), traversed through Manali and Shinku La Pass (16,703 feet) before culminating in Leh (11,480 feet). Throughout the expedition, the convoy encountered diverse road conditions, steep mountain passes, changing weather and high-altitude terrain, validating the TEKTON’s performance across demanding environments. Driven by media professionals and automotive industry experts, the convoy highlighted the vehicle’s ability to deliver confidence and reliability across one of the country’s toughest driving routes.
