Gandhinagar: Delhi Public School (DPS) Gandhinagar successfully hosted the CBSE Cluster XIII Table Tennis Tournament 2026–27 from July 25 to 27, bringing together 103 paddlers from 16 schools and 25 teams across Gujarat. The three-day championship celebrated competitive sports, teamwork and holistic education while reaffirming the school’s commitment to nurturing young sporting talent.
The tournament featured exciting contests across Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 Boys’ and Girls’ Singles and Doubles categories, where participants demonstrated remarkable skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout the competition. The championship commenced with a colourful cultural programme showcasing Gujarat’s rich traditions and heritage, creating a warm and memorable welcome for participating schools and dignitaries.
Conducted under the supervision of CBSE Observer Dr. Sadat Ali Khan, the tournament was officiated by Chief Referee Mr. M. M. Modan along with an experienced panel of referees and umpires, ensuring fair, transparent and seamless conduct of every match. Following three days of intense competition, Delhi Public School Dumas, Surat emerged as the Overall Champion, while Delhi Public School Gandhinagar secured the First Runner-up position. Agrawal Vidya Vihar, Surat finished as the Second Runner-up. The winning teams and outstanding performers were felicitated with trophies and certificates.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Anju Singh, Principal, DPS Gandhinagar, congratulated all the participants and winners for their outstanding performances. She appreciated the dedication, discipline and sporting spirit displayed by every player and encouraged students to continue striving for excellence both in academics and sports.
The championship concluded with the National Anthem, marking the successful culmination of an event that celebrated not only athletic achievements but also the enduring values of discipline, resilience, unity and teamwork. By successfully organising the CBSE Cluster XIII Table Tennis Tournament, DPS Gandhinagar once again showcased its commitment to providing students with opportunities that promote leadership, character building and holistic development beyond the classroom.
