Bengaluru-Based Praan Health Launches First Fifty+ Clinic, Expands Integrated Healthcare for India’s Ageing Population

Bengaluru:  Bengaluru-based healthcare startup Praan Health has launched its first integrated healthcare centre, The Fifty+ Clinic, in Koramangala, Bengaluru, marking a significant step towards addressing the evolving healthcare needs of India’s ageing population. The physician-led clinic combines preventive, rehabilitative and technology-enabled healthcare services specifically designed for adults aged 50 years and above.

The launch comes at a time when India is witnessing a rapid demographic shift, with the country’s population above the age of 50 estimated at nearly 140 million today and projected to grow substantially in the coming decades. As chronic illnesses increasingly emerge at younger ages in India compared to Western nations, the need for integrated, continuous healthcare has become more critical than ever.

The Fifty+ Clinic brings together a multidisciplinary team comprising physicians, physiotherapists, nutritionists and strength specialists to provide comprehensive care focused on improving mobility, reducing pain and enhancing overall independence. Services include chronic disease management, pain care, diagnostics, pharmacy support, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, supervised strength training and nutrition counselling, all integrated through Praan Health’s digital platform for seamless at-home continuity of care.

Unlike conventional healthcare models that often treat individual conditions separately, Praan Health follows a coordinated care approach that addresses an individual’s complete health journey. Each member receives a personalised care plan encompassing clinical treatment, mobility improvement, nutrition and strength development, with measurable outcomes including pain reduction, improved mobility and greater independence in daily life.

A key differentiator of the platform is its support for long-distance caregiving. Recognising that many adult children live away from their ageing parents due to work or other commitments, Praan Health enables families to stay actively involved in the healthcare journey. With patient consent, family members can access consultation updates, treatment plans and progress reports through the digital platform, ensuring greater transparency and peace of mind.

The company highlighted the growing burden of mobility-related disorders among older Indians. While diseases such as diabetes and hypertension receive widespread attention, conditions including osteoporosis and osteoarthritis continue to significantly impact quality of life and independence. More than 60 million Indians above 50 are estimated to be living with osteoporosis, while over 50 million are affected by osteoarthritis. Women remain disproportionately affected, with sedentary lifestyles and obesity further contributing to declining mobility and increased frailty.

Commenting on the launch, Navneeth Ramprasad, Founder and CEO, Praan Health, said: “India does not need another clinic that treats one symptom and leaves families to coordinate everything else. Over the last two years, our work with thousands of people above 50 has shown us that better ageing requires one team to take responsibility for the complete outcome—from pain and mobility to strength, metabolic health and independence.”

He further added: “This centre is the result of everything we have learned from more than 350,000 personalised care sessions. We are bringing the clinic, home and family into one connected care journey. Our conviction is that coordinated, preventive care must become the standard for ageing Indians—not a system that every family has to assemble on their own.”

Praan Health has already supported more than 10,000 adults aged 50 and above through over 350,000 personalised care sessions across 13 Indian cities. The newly launched Bengaluru clinic will serve as the clinical hub of the company’s hybrid care model, allowing patients to receive in-clinic consultations, assessments and specialised interventions while continuing physiotherapy, nutrition and strength programmes from the comfort of their homes.

The launch also represents a significant business milestone for the healthcare startup as it expands from an at-home chronic care provider into a comprehensive healthcare network integrating physical clinics, home-based services and digital healthcare technology.

Praan Health raised ₹8.5 crore in seed funding in November 2025 in a funding round led by Rainmatter Investments, with participation from WEH Ventures and several angel investors. The capital is being utilised to strengthen the company’s clinical capabilities, technology infrastructure and physical care network.

Looking ahead, Praan Health plans to replicate its integrated care model in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi, with an objective of expanding across major Indian cities by 2028, as it aims to build a nationwide healthcare ecosystem dedicated to enabling healthier, more independent ageing for India’s growing senior population.
