Patrol-Inspired Design, Turbocharged Performance and Google Built-in Connectivity Define Nissan’s New Flagship SUV

Mumbai : Nissan Motor India has strengthened its premium SUV portfolio with the global debut of the all-new Nissan TEKTON, a feature-rich C-segment SUV designed to redefine customer expectations in one of India’s fastest-growing automotive segments. Combining bold styling, advanced technology, turbocharged performance and global engineering, the TEKTON marks a significant milestone in Nissan’s resurgence strategy for the Indian market.

Manufactured at Nissan’s Chennai plant under the company’s “One Car, One World” philosophy, the TEKTON has been developed for both Indian customers and global export markets, reinforcing India’s growing importance in Nissan’s international manufacturing and product strategy.

Inspired by the iconic Nissan Patrol, the TEKTON features a commanding road presence with signature C-shaped LED headlamps, connected LED tail lamps, sculpted body lines, flush roof rails and a premium SUV stance. The design blends muscular proportions with aerodynamic styling, giving the vehicle a distinctive identity on Indian roads.

Inside, the SUV offers a premium tri-tone cabin with leatherette upholstery, soft-touch materials, dual digital displays and an ergonomically designed cockpit. The highlight is the Google built-in infotainment system, allowing seamless access to Google Maps, Google Assistant and over 200 compatible applications through Google Play, delivering a connected driving experience.

Powering the TEKTON is a 100% turbocharged engine lineup comprising the Turbo T160 and the more powerful Turbo T280. The flagship T280 engine produces 163 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed wet-clutch Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) featuring an electronic shifter. Both engines incorporate Nissan’s GT-R-derived Mirror Bore Coating technology for enhanced efficiency and performance.

The SUV also offers multiple driving technologies, including Dual Drive Modes, Dual-Mode Steering, Adaptive Cruise Control, tuned suspension and intelligent handling systems aimed at delivering a refined driving experience across city roads and highways.

Safety remains a key highlight of the TEKTON. The SUV comes equipped with six airbags as standard, over 40 safety features, and more than 17 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Warning, Driver Attention Alert and Traffic Sign Recognition. A 360-degree camera system further enhances driver confidence during parking and low-speed manoeuvres.

Practicality has also been prioritised with a 700-litre boot, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, connected car technology and premium audio system, making the TEKTON suitable for both urban commuting and long-distance family travel.

Commenting on the launch, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said the TEKTON represents the flagship of Nissan’s renewed India strategy, combining premium design, intelligent technology, powerful performance and everyday practicality in a vehicle built in India for global markets.

The all-new Nissan TEKTON is available at an introductory price starting from ₹10.49 lakh for the T160 manual variant, while the Turbo T280 range starts at ₹14.99 lakh. Bookings have commenced across Nissan dealerships and digital platforms nationwide.
