Vadodara: GSFC University has signed six strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading industry, research and government organisations during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) 2026, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening academia-industry collaboration, research excellence and innovation-driven education.
The University entered into partnerships with Farmson Basic Drugs Pvt. Ltd. (Vadodara), Indus Fire Safety (Vadodara), Alkem Laboratories Ltd. (Mumbai), Vasu Research Centre (Vadodara), the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Government of Gujarat, and ICMR–National Institute of Occupational Health Research (ICMR-NIOHR), Ahmedabad.
These strategic collaborations will promote stronger engagement between academia and industry while creating opportunities for applied research, technology transfer, product innovation, professional training and employment-oriented education. The partnerships will also strengthen GSFC University’s start-up and incubation ecosystem by encouraging innovation-led ventures, fostering entrepreneurial thinking among students and faculty, providing mentoring support, and enabling access to government-backed entrepreneurship programmes.
A key highlight of the initiative is the collaboration with ICMR-NIOHR, which will significantly enhance the University’s B.Tech. Fire & Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programme. Under this partnership, students will benefit from expert lectures, workshops, internships, dissertation guidance and field research opportunities under the mentorship of ICMR-NIOHR scientists. They will gain valuable exposure to occupational health challenges across sectors including mining, ship recycling and industrial worker safety.
The collaboration will also facilitate curriculum enhancement, specialised certifications and access to advanced research expertise and laboratory facilities, equipping students with practical knowledge aligned with industry requirements.
Collectively, the six MoUs will provide students and faculty with greater opportunities for experiential learning, industrial exposure, collaborative research and innovation, further strengthening GSFC University’s vision of developing future-ready professionals through meaningful institutional partnerships.
The signing of these strategic MoUs during VGRC 2026 marks another significant milestone in GSFC University’s journey towards academic excellence, research leadership and industry-integrated education.
