Ahmedabad : The Chartered Accountants Association, Ahmedabad (CAAA), one of India’s oldest and largest voluntary professional bodies for Chartered Accountants, is set to organise the 4th Edition of the CAAA Articleship Mela on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Gujarat Sports Club, Ahmedabad. The initiative is being held as part of the association’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, commemorating 75 years of dedicated service to the Chartered Accountancy profession.
Recognised as Ahmedabad’s most trusted offline articleship placement platform, the Articleship Mela has successfully connected aspiring Chartered Accountants with leading CA firms through a structured and transparent recruitment process. Over four consecutive editions, the event has evolved into a flagship initiative that bridges the gap between talented students and firms seeking quality articles.
The Articleship Mela offers a smart matching system where first-year CA students register their preferred practice areas—including Audit, Taxation, GST, and Internal Audit—along with their preferred work locations. Participating CA firms also provide their recruitment preferences, enabling an efficient digital mapping process before conducting face-to-face interviews during the event.
Participation is free for first-year CA students, while CA firms can register by paying a nominal participation fee of ₹2,500. Students can register online or directly participate by visiting the venue on July 3 from 10:00 AM onwards.
Speaking about the initiative, CA Dr. Anjali Choksi, President of CAAA, said:“The Articleship Mela has earned the trust of both students and CA firms over the years, making it one of the most significant initiatives for the profession in Gujarat. As we celebrate our Platinum Jubilee year, we are expanding our vision beyond articleship placements to build a stronger and more future-ready ecosystem for Chartered Accountants.”
This year’s edition introduces several new initiatives aimed at strengthening professional development across the accounting community. These include support for paid assistant placements in CA firms through collaborations with educational institutions, AI literacy workshops for corporates and professional organisations, strategic partnerships with other professional associations to enhance industry collaboration, and a series of Platinum Jubilee knowledge-sharing, fellowship, and legacy-building programmes.
Highlighting the evolution of the event, CA Bishan Shah, Chief Coordinator of the Articleship Mela, said: “Edition 4.0 reflects our commitment to bringing greater structure and transparency to the recruitment process. By matching students with firms based on their interests and requirements, we are creating meaningful opportunities while expanding our support to professional training, staffing, and collaborative initiatives.”
Established 75 years ago, the Chartered Accountants Association, Ahmedabad has consistently played a pivotal role in professional development, student welfare, continuing education, and leadership within the Chartered Accountancy fraternity. The Articleship Mela remains one of its flagship initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing future professionals and strengthening the accounting ecosystem across Gujarat.
For student registrations, interested candidates can register online or visit the venue on the event day to participate.
