Gurugram: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), one of India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers, reported total sales of 5,18,777 units in May 2026, registering a healthy 12% year-on-year growth compared to 4,65,109 units sold during the same month last year.
The company continued its strong growth trajectory on the back of sustained consumer demand, a diverse product portfolio, and an extensive sales and service network across the country.
Domestic sales stood at 4,59,611 units, marking a 10% increase over 4,17,250 units sold in May 2025. Meanwhile, exports witnessed an even stronger performance, rising 24% year-on-year to 59,166 units, compared to 47,859 units in the corresponding period last year.
The performance reflects HMSI’s continued focus on customer-centric mobility solutions and its growing market presence across urban and rural India. With more than 7,000 customer touchpoints nationwide, the company has been strengthening accessibility and enhancing customer engagement across key markets.
Industry experts attribute the positive momentum in the two-wheeler segment to improving consumer sentiment, increased mobility requirements, and steady demand across commuter and premium motorcycle categories.
