Ahmedabad: Reinforcing its commitment towards sustainability and community-driven learning, the Ahmedabad chapter of FICCI FLO successfully organized an engaging and practical Microgreens Session on May 14, 2026. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from women, teachers, children, and community members, creating awareness around sustainable living and urban farming practices.
The session was conducted under the leadership of Chairperson Usha Jaiswal and was actively conceptualized and executed by Dr. Geetika Saluja, Rutvi Vyas, Rajvi Shah, and Mrs. Santosh Shah. Urban farming entrepreneur Aditi Mali led the interactive session, sharing her entrepreneurial journey and highlighting emerging opportunities in STEM education and sustainable agriculture. Participants received hands-on training in seed germination, nutrition cycles, water conservation, and home-based cultivation of microgreens.
The event emphasized the importance of adopting simple urban farming practices that contribute positively to environmental sustainability while encouraging healthier lifestyles. The initiative successfully brought together key focus sectors including GreenTech & Circular Economy, STEM, Agro & Food, and MSME, demonstrating FLO Ahmedabad’s integrated approach towards sustainable development and innovation.
Adding a unique touch to the program, nutritious sattvic meals prepared by home chef Hetal Ashra were served to participants, further promoting women-led entrepreneurship and conscious food practices. Participants also embraced eco-friendly measures such as carpooling and carrying reusable water bottles, reinforcing the message of responsible and sustainable living. The session positively impacted nearly 100 participants, including 60 FLO members, 20 school students, 10 teachers, and 10 community members.
