Ahmedabad : Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd., a leading Indian solar EPC and module manufacturing company and a Grade-A Top Tier-1 global solar manufacturer, has announced a major operational milestone for its utility-scale ground-mounted Net Energy Export Generation Guarantee (NEEGG) solar project at Manjal, Kutch, developed for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited.
After successfully completing one year of operations, the Manjal solar project has consistently delivered higher-than-guaranteed performance, showcasing strong operational reliability, engineering precision, and energy generation efficiency. The project has achieved a performance ratio (PR) of up to 90%, underlining the quality of Kosol Energie’s engineering design, advanced technology integration, and execution capabilities. The achievement reinforces the company’s ability to deliver high-performing solar infrastructure while ensuring long-term operational optimization and value generation for clients.
Spread across 45 acres of previously unused government-owned wasteland in Kutch, the project has been designed to support agricultural operations and irrigation needs in rural Gujarat. The initiative aligns with Gujarat’s clean energy transition goals and supports the integration of renewable energy into farming infrastructure.
The solar plant is equipped with advanced 545 Wp bifacial solar modules featuring 144 half-cut cells and transparent backsheets mounted on fixed-tilt structures. Developed using Kosol Energie’s AI-driven and fully automated manufacturing technology, the modules deliver over 15% higher efficiency compared to conventional monofacial modules by capturing sunlight from both sides.
Despite facing operational challenges including harsh climatic conditions, right-of-way constraints for transmission infrastructure, and land encroachment issues, Kosol Energie successfully executed and commissioned the project within a record timeline while maintaining stringent quality and reliability standards.
Commenting on the achievement, Kalpesh Kalthia said, “Manjal stands as a testament to our ability to consistently deliver beyond expectations. This project reflects the strength of our design approach, technology selection, and on-ground execution. At Kosol, we remain focused on driving higher efficiency and long-term value for our clients while supporting India’s renewable energy ambitions.”
The project is expected to contribute significantly toward environmental sustainability, with an estimated reduction of approximately 402,814 tonnes of CO₂ emissions over a 25-year lifecycle. Along with generating clean and reliable power for agricultural applications, the project also strengthens Gujarat’s renewable energy capacity and supports India’s broader decarbonization and sustainability goals.
With over 15 years of expertise in solar module manufacturing and EPC solutions, Kosol Energie continues to strengthen its position as a trusted and performance-driven partner in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.
