Ahmedabad: Blending devotion with social responsibility, Shree Foundation organized a spiritually uplifting ‘Shrinathji Jhanki’ program at Thakorbhai Desai Hall in Ahmedabad, bringing together more than 650 Vaishnav devotees and youth members for a noble cause.

Held under the guidance of trustee Priyaben Mehta, the foundation’s first public event successfully raised over ₹2 lakh to provide medical assistance for nearly 300 to 400 underprivileged children suffering from Type-1 Diabetes. The collected funds will be utilized for insulin support, medical kits, and essential healthcare consultations for children in need.

Speaking about the initiative, foundation member Amit Mehta said, the divine atmosphere of the event was enhanced by the blessings and spiritual discourse of Pujya Goswami Tilak Bawa and Pujya Bhagwat Rishiji. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from devotees who extended generous support towards the healthcare mission.

The foundation also announced its commitment to organizing similar “Dharma with Service” initiatives every three months, aiming to extend support to more underprivileged families and create greater awareness around child healthcare.

Understanding Type-1 Diabetes

Type-1 Diabetes is a chronic condition in which the pancreas stops producing insulin. The disease is commonly diagnosed among children and teenagers, making lifelong daily insulin injections essential for survival. Due to the high cost of treatment, many financially challenged families struggle to provide continuous care for their children. Shri Foundation’s initiative seeks to ease this burden and ensure timely medical support reaches deserving children.

Inspiring Youth Through Faith and Service

Organizers emphasized that the event was not only about devotion but also about encouraging the younger generation to participate in meaningful social service. The initiative aimed to inspire Vaishnav youth to understand that true spirituality lies in serving humanity alongside religious practices. The foundation expressed hope that more youngsters will join such initiatives in the future and contribute towards building a compassionate and socially responsible society.
