Ahmedabad: To commemorate the victorious first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, the Vadodara Group NCC organized a series of patriotic events from May 7 to 9, 2026, across Vadodara, Surat, Navsari and Kevadia. The commemoration paid heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty during the historic military operation that brought pride to the nation and earned global recognition.
As part of the observance, NCC cadets across all four locations paid homage to the fallen heroes by observing two minutes of silence. The solemn tribute reflected the cadets’ deep respect and gratitude towards the armed forces and their unwavering commitment to national security.
The commemorative programme also featured motivational lectures delivered by NCC officers, highlighting the success story of Operation Sindoor and the decisive role played by the Indian defence forces in neutralizing the adversary within just 88 hours. Officers emphasized the courage, precision, strategic planning and coordination demonstrated during the operation.
A specially curated documentary on Operation Sindoor was screened for cadets, offering detailed insights into the functioning of the Indian Armed Forces during wartime. The documentary particularly focused on the dynamic execution of the operation, leadership under pressure and the technological and tactical capabilities of the defence forces.
The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from civil society members across the districts, further strengthening civil-military relations and fostering a deeper sense of patriotism and national unity among citizens. Organizers noted that such engagements play a crucial role in nation-building and inspire the younger generation towards national service.
