Hyderabad |BASF has announced the establishment of a new Global Service Hub in Hyderabad under BASF Global Business Services Private Limited, further strengthening its strategic presence in India. The hub, expected to begin operations in the second quarter of 2026, will support integrated Finance and Human Resources services for BASF’s global operations.

The announcement was made during a press briefing in Hyderabad, where BASF handed over a Letter of Intent (LoI) to the Government of Telangana. The initiative highlights Hyderabad’s growing stature as a preferred destination for global capability centers and enterprise service operations.

According to BASF Global Business Services President Tobias Dratt, Hyderabad was selected after a structured evaluation process due to its strong talent ecosystem and scalable business infrastructure. The company stated that the new center will support high-quality global service delivery while building long-term operational capabilities in India.

Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said BASF’s decision reinforces Hyderabad’s global reputation in life sciences, technology, AI, and enterprise operations. He noted that the expansion would create high-skilled employment opportunities across multiple strategic functions.

The Hyderabad Global Service Hub will gradually expand over the coming years with a phased recruitment strategy focused on skilled talent and diverse teams. BASF said the facility will complement its existing Global Business Service Hubs in Berlin, Kuala Lumpur, and Montevideo.

The hub will support BASF’s worldwide operations across functions including Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Environment Health Safety & Quality (EHSQ), Intellectual Property, Real Estate Management, and Inhouse Consulting.

Earlier in 2026, BASF had also announced a Global Digital Hub in Hyderabad. BASF India Managing Director Alexander Gerding stated that the launch of both hubs marks a significant milestone in BASF’s India growth strategy and aligns with the company’s “Winning Ways” transformation roadmap.

BASF currently operates eight production sites and 45 offices across India and has maintained a presence in the country for more than 130 years.
