EDII Ahmedabad Commemorates Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti, Highlights Inclusive Growth & Education

Ahmedabad: The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, commemorated the birth anniversary of the architect of the Indian Constitution, Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, with a thought-provoking session highlighting his enduring ideals of equality, education, and inclusive development.

The session was delivered by Chief Guest Prof. K. C. Poria, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan. Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII, also addressed the audience.

Speaking on the monumental contributions of Dr. Ambedkar, Prof. Poria said, “On this occasion, we pay tribute to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s unparalleled contribution to equality, social justice, and inclusive growth. As the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, he emphasized empowerment through education and highlighted the importance of education and technology as pillars of future development. It is encouraging to see that the National Education Policy 2020 reflects his vision by promoting tech-driven, skill-based learning. His life continues to inspire us to build a progressive and inclusive society.”

Dr. Sunil Shukla underscored the importance of social upliftment, stating, “Empowering the underprivileged is not just a responsibility, but a strategic investment in the nation’s future. By enabling their potential, we foster innovation, economic growth, and a more equitable society where every individual has the opportunity to succeed.”

Concluding the session, Dr. Satya Ranjan Acharya, Professor & Director, Department of Entrepreneurship Education, EDII, remarked, “Entrepreneurship is a powerful enabler for marginalized communities. It goes beyond business creation to instill self-reliance, confidence, and dignity. At EDII, we remain committed to nurturing an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem that drives both economic and social progress.”
