Ahmedabad: Marking World Homoeopathy Day, the Gujarat Homoeopathy Council, in collaboration with Arihant Homoeopathy Medical College, organized a large-scale “Homoeopathy Walk” at the Riverfront Event Center in Paldi on Sunday morning. The initiative witnessed participation from over 800 homoeopathy practitioners across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, reflecting growing engagement within the alternative healthcare ecosystem.

World Homoeopathy Day, observed annually on April 10, commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homoeopathy. The walk was aimed at strengthening public awareness and addressing misconceptions around homoeopathic treatment. Dr. Rajesh Mahale, President of the Gujarat Homoeopathy Council, stated that the initiative was designed to enhance public trust and reinforce the role of homoeopathy as a complementary healthcare system.

Dr. Vikas Shukla, Council Member, emphasized that community-driven outreach programs such as awareness walks are critical in expanding the reach and acceptance of homoeopathic practices. The event was supported by leading academic institutions including Arihant Homoeopathy Medical College, Ahmedabad Homoeopathic College, Monarch Homoeopathic College, Ananya College of Homoeopathy, Swaminarayan Homoeopathic College, and Gandhinagar Homoeopathic Medical College.

As part of the engagement, a street play was conducted post-walk to communicate the benefits and applications of homoeopathic treatments to the public. The program was attended by key academic and medical professionals, including Dr. Anitaben, Dr. Chintan Pandya, Dr. Nishaben, and Dr. Vinitaben.
