Ahmedabad : In a progressive move to streamline articleship placements, the Chartered Accountants Association, Ahmedabad (CAAA) successfully hosted the 3rd Articleship Fair at the Sports Club, witnessing an overwhelming response from both students and firms.
The event saw participation from over 100 CA students and 34 reputed Chartered Accountant firms, creating a dynamic ecosystem for structured recruitment and professional networking. Unlike conventional job fairs, the initiative focused on precision matchmaking, ensuring meaningful engagement between aspiring Chartered Accountants and firms.
Designed as a tech-enabled and student-centric platform, the fair allowed candidates to indicate their preferred domains—including Audit, Taxation, GST, and Internal Audit—along with location preferences. Simultaneously, participating firms outlined their hiring criteria. A smart digital dashboard then mapped both sides, enabling efficient shortlisting and real-time interviews.
Speaking on the initiative, CA Rushabh Shah, President, CAAA, stated: “By eliminating randomness and introducing a structured approach, this platform ensures the right fit between students and firms. It significantly enhances the likelihood of successful placements, making it a win-win for both stakeholders.”
CA Bishan Shah, Chief Coordinator of the Articleship Mela, highlighted the importance of a streamlined and transparent process that prioritizes student experience. He added, “This platform empowers students to not only present their skills but also gain insights into firm culture, learning opportunities, and work-life balance before making informed decisions.”
The successful execution of the event was led by CA Ashish Sharma, Secretary, CAAA, along with Coordinator CA Mayur Modha, whose efforts ensured seamless planning and implementation. The Articleship Fair continues to emerge as a benchmark initiative in professional education and recruitment, reinforcing CAAA’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of Chartered Accountants through innovation and structured opportunities.
