Ahmedabad : The Department of Civil Engineering at the Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM), Ahmedabad, successfully organised Repertus 2K26, the institute’s National Level Civil Engineering Tech Fest, at the IITRAM campus. The three-day event was inaugurated on Thursday and concluded on March 14, 2026, bringing together students, academicians, and industry professionals to explore emerging trends and innovations in civil engineering and infrastructure development.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Shri P. K. Jain, Director General of IITRAM; Prof. M. K. Barua, Director of IITRAM; and Dr. Jayshankar Odhwani, Deputy Secretary at the Administrative Reforms and Training Department under the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat, who attended as the Chief Guest. Mr. Mukesh Shah, Director at CC Patel & Associates Pvt. Ltd., graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Manoj Langhi, Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Faculty Coordinator for Repertus 2K26, in the presence of Dr. Jaidevi Jeyaraman, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, along with faculty members and student organisers.
A key highlight of the fest was KBCE – Kaun Banega Civil Engineer, an engaging quiz competition inspired by the popular television format. The event tested participants’ knowledge of civil engineering concepts, infrastructure systems, and technical problem-solving, drawing enthusiastic participation from students.
Another major attraction was ANSYS Tech Day, which provided participants with insights into advanced engineering simulation tools and their practical applications in structural analysis and infrastructure design. The fest also featured hands-on workshops on MS Excel, STAAD Pro, Revit, and Primavera P6, offering students valuable exposure to industry-relevant tools widely used in design, planning, and project management.
Designed as a platform for knowledge exchange and innovation, Repertus 2K26 hosted a range of technical competitions, workshops, and interactive sessions that encouraged students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world infrastructure challenges. Adding a cultural dimension to the technical gathering, the fest also featured a classical cultural evening organised in collaboration with SPIC MACAY, celebrating India’s rich artistic heritage and providing participants with a vibrant campus experience.
Through initiatives such as Repertus, IITRAM continues to strengthen its commitment to nurturing future engineers by creating opportunities for students to interact with professionals, exchange ideas, and explore innovative approaches to addressing the infrastructure needs of the future.
