Gopal Snacks Clinches Title at Saurashtra FMCG Premier League Cricket Tournament

Rajkot: Gopal Snacks, one of India’s leading companies in the organised traditional snacks segment, emerged as the champions of the Saurashtra FMCG Premier League Cricket Tournament, held in Rajkot. In a one-sided final encounter, Gopal Snacks defeated Gokul Snacks to lift the championship trophy. Batting first, Gokul Snacks were bundled out for 47 runs. Gopal Snacks chased down the modest target in just over five overs, losing only two wickets, to register a convincing eight-wicket victory.

Ilyas Dal, representing Gopal Snacks’ logistics department, delivered a standout performance throughout the tournament and was named both Man of the Match and Man of the Series. The tournament, held on January 4, witnessed participation from several prominent FMCG companies, including Funwave Foods, Balaji Wafer, Chillfill Foods, Evita Foods, Pratap Snacks, and Haldiram’s. The teams were divided into two groups during the league stage, with the top four progressing to the semifinals. In the semifinal matches, Gopal Snacks recorded a dominant 71-run win over Evita Foods, while Gokul Snacks secured an 18-run victory against Haldiram’s to book their place in the final.

Commenting on the occasion, Raj Hadvani, Whole-time Director and CEO of Gopal Snacks, said, “I extend my sincere wishes to all the participating teams, and especially the winning team, for their spirited performances during the tournament.
