Ahmedabad: Silvin Additives Pvt. Ltd., a leading manufacturer of advanced additives for PVC and CPVC pipes, has launched Divadandi, a long-term corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at strengthening academic habits, life skills, and self-confidence among school students.

Named after the Gujarati word for lighthouse, Divadandi symbolises guidance and direction during critical phases of a student’s academic and personal journey. The initiative is designed to support students as they prepare for board examinations and navigate age-specific challenges.

The programme commenced earlier this month at Sheth H H Shirolawala High School in Bodeli, located in Chhota Udaipur district. It will reach nearly 1,800 students from Standards 9 to 12, with each participant receiving nine hours of structured training delivered across three sessions.

The sessions are conducted by Kamal Dabawala and his team, who specialise in student engagement, academic preparedness, and life skills development.

Commenting on the initiative, Pradip Chokshi, CSR Head, Silvin Additives Pvt. Ltd., said, “Divadandi reflects our long-standing engagement with communities and our belief that timely guidance can make a real difference in a student’s life. Through this initiative, we aim to offer practical support that helps students approach their studies and everyday challenges with greater clarity and confidence.”

Structured Three-Session Programme

The Divadandi programme is delivered through three focused modules:

  • Personality and Behavioural Development: Covering confidence building, communication skills, emotional awareness, teamwork, and positive behavioural habits.

  • Academic Planning and Exam Readiness: Students in Standards 9 and 11 receive guidance on study planning, exam strategies, and digital discipline. Students in Standards 10 and 12 are supported with board examination preparation, subject-wise planning, stress management, and early career orientation.

  • Age-Specific Challenges and Well-being: Younger students are guided on early adolescence, self-image, responsible social media usage, and balancing academics with personal life. Senior students receive inputs on managing performance pressure, handling future uncertainty, meeting family and academic expectations, and avoiding negative influences. The programme also raises awareness around health, safety, and digital well-being.

The Divadandi initiative builds on Silvin Additives’ earlier education-focused CSR efforts and underscores the company’s long-term commitment to inclusive student development and community empowerment.
