Together, the VFS Global Foundation and VFS Global Academy aim to empower over 10,000 young individuals in India with essential employability skills.
Ahmedabad: VFS Global Foundation has officially opened its skill training centre in Ahmedabad, marking a significant step forward in its commitment to empowering local youth through training designed to enhance employability. In its inaugural year, the centre is set to train 250 students, providing them with practical skills tailored to meet industry demands.
The programs have been thoughtfully curated by the VFS Global Academy, the initiative’s knowledge partner, to ensure that students acquire future-ready skills, receive career guidance, and engage with learning frameworks that align with global standards. The academy will provide programs in the travel and hospitality sectors.
Speaking at the inauguration, Neetu Wadhawan, Deputy CHRO of VFS Global and Director of the VFS Global Foundation, stated, “At VFS Global, we are committed to creating pathways for sustainable livelihoods. The Ahmedabad center embodies our vision to foster talent and empower communities through skill development in India. We take pride in leveraging the expertise of the VFS Global Academy to design impactful training programs. With existing centers in Deoghar, Ekta Nagar, and Lucknow, and another opening in Chandigarh by the end of the year, the Foundation is on track to train thousands of young individuals across the nation.”
The launch event welcomed senior leaders from VFS Global alongside the inaugural group of students. Guests explored the training facilities and engaged with the students, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to inclusive, community-focused development.The initiative supports VFS Global’s overarching mission to empower youth through education, skill training, and entrepreneurship, aiming to create a lasting social impact worldwide.
