Ahmedabad Cantonment Participates in Swachhta Hi Sewa with a Mass Walkathon and Green Pledge.

Ahmedabad : As a key element of the “Swachhta Hi Sewa” Campaign, the Ahmedabad Cantonment Military Station held a cleanliness drive that saw an impressive turnout of 1,400 participants, including soldiers, students, NCC cadets, and Swachhta Warriors.

 

The event kicked off with a commitment to maintaining a clean environment by implementing various strategies, such as minimizing plastic use and aiming for a net zero-waste target.

 

 

A presentation on the green initiatives of the Recycle Green startup was given by Sh. Hardik Shah, the founder of Recycle Green.

 

The Station Commander of Ahmedabad Cantt officially launched a three-kilometer Walkathon aimed at promoting a green lifestyle and raising awareness among youth. Children from participating schools received pens and pencils made from recycled materials, emphasizing the importance of waste reduction practices. This initiative highlighted the Cantonment’s strong commitment to the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
