Mumbai: Škoda Auto India has reported its highest-ever quarterly sales, delivering 20,028 units in Q1 2026 (January–March), marking a 17% year-on-year growth compared to 17,138 units sold in the corresponding period last year.
The strong performance builds on the company’s record-breaking year in 2025 and reflects sustained momentum driven by a strengthened product portfolio, expanding market presence, and a continued focus on customer-centric strategies.Growth during the quarter was led by robust demand across key models, including the Kylaq, which recently crossed the 50,000-unit sales milestone, the introduction of the new Kushaq, steady volumes from the Slavia, and continued traction for the Kodiaq in the premium SUV segment.
Leadership Commentary
Commenting on the performance, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said,“Continuing our growth trajectory into 2026 with our biggest-ever quarter is a strong validation of the momentum we have built. Following a record performance in 2025, it is encouraging to see sustained growth alongside new benchmarks. This performance is driven by a more accessible product portfolio, deeper market reach, and a sharper focus on customer-centric initiatives. We remain committed to sustaining this momentum through consistent execution, relevant product introductions, network expansion, and an enhanced ownership experience.”
Strengthening Customer Confidence
Škoda Auto India continues to reinforce customer trust through an enhanced ownership proposition. The introduction of Škoda Super Care offers:
- 4-year standard warranty

This initiative is designed to provide predictable ownership costs, improved service transparency, and enhanced customer convenience, strengthening long-term brand confidence.
The company has also expanded its presence to 330 customer touchpoints across more than 180 cities, improving accessibility across both established and emerging markets.
Product Strategy Driving Growth
The company’s Q1 performance is underpinned by a well-diversified and evolving product portfolio aligned with changing consumer preferences. The Kylaq continues to be a key growth driver in the sub-4m SUV segment, attracting new customers and expanding the brand’s reach. The new Kushaq further strengthens this momentum with enhanced safety, comfort, and convenience features, alongside segment-first technologies such as an eight-speed automatic transmission and features like a rear seat massager. Meanwhile, the Slavia continues to deliver consistent performance in the sedan segment, while the Kodiaq sustains the brand’s presence in the premium SUV category, ensuring a balanced portfolio across segments.
