Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Chapter of the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) has announced the appointment of Usha Jaiswal as its Chairperson for the term 2026–27. She succeeds outgoing Chairperson Madhu Banthia, carrying forward FLO’s continued commitment to women’s empowerment and leadership.
FLO Ahmedabad, a key chapter of the FICCI Ladies Organisation, has been instrumental in promoting women’s entrepreneurship, leadership, and professional development. Through its initiatives, the organisation has consistently created opportunities, fostered meaningful networks, and supported women-led enterprises across sectors.
Stepping into her new role, Usha Jaiswal has outlined a vision focused on capacity building and business empowerment for women entrepreneurs. She aims to enhance awareness about government schemes that support women-led enterprises and encourage greater participation in structured economic frameworks.
Highlighting the importance of formalization, Jaiswal emphasized the need for MSME registration among women entrepreneurs, noting that it enables access to funding opportunities, policy benefits, and long-term business growth. Addressing financial literacy, she underlined the significance of transparency in income and adherence to proper tax practices, stating that sustainable growth depends on ethical and compliant business operations.
Sharing her thoughts, Jaiswal said, “I have learnt a great deal from my experiences over the years. Now, it is time for more women to step forward, take leadership roles, and build their own identity. It is an honour to take on this responsibility and contribute towards strengthening FLO’s initiatives in women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and social impact.”
Professionally, Usha Jaiswal is the founder of AVENUE 79, a concept store in Ahmedabad that brings together multi-designer fashion, international home décor brands, and a café experience. She is also actively involved in social initiatives and various business forums.
With her leadership, FLO Ahmedabad is poised to further expand its impact by enabling more women to actively participate in the economic and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
