Pune : The Life Transformation Centre (LTC), an innovative initiative in experiential and value-based higher education, was inaugurated at Boribel in Daund taluka of Pune district. Conceptualised by Dr. Rahul V. Karad in memory of Urmila V. Karad, the centre aims to foster holistic development among students by reconnecting them with nature, society, and their inner selves.

The inauguration was attended by prominent personalities including Swami Ramdev and Ronjan Singh Sodhi, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and Arjuna Awardee. The ceremony was chaired by Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder & Chief Patron, MAEER’s MIT, Pune, and President, MIT World Peace University.

Messages of support were shared by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, among other leaders. Shivraj Singh Chouhan highlighted that the initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) and addresses challenges faced by youth, including academic stress and digital distractions. Devendra Fadnavis emphasised Maharashtra’s legacy of value-based education and said the centre would help nurture disciplined and responsible citizens.

The LTC is built on five key pillars—Agriculture and Nature, Physical Fitness and Sports, Team Building and Leadership, Patriotism and Nation Building, and Spirituality and Peace. It seeks to develop students’ physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being while instilling leadership and social responsibility. A key feature of the centre is its focus on simplicity and mindful living, encouraging students to reduce dependence on digital devices and adopt a more balanced lifestyle.

Speaking on the occasion, Swami Ramdev highlighted the importance of character-building alongside academic excellence. Dr. Rahul Karad described the centre as a transformative platform aimed at shaping self-aware and socially conscious youth.
