New Delhi : Global retail giant Walmart has announced the opening of registrations for the India Growth Summit 2026, a major initiative aimed at empowering Indian businesses to scale both domestically and globally. The summit will take place on May 7, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
The second edition of the summit will bring together micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), digital-first brands, direct-to-consumer (D2C) sellers, and supply chain innovators to explore new opportunities in international trade through Walmart’s global marketplace.
Registrations will remain open until April 23, 2026, inviting Indian businesses interested in joining the Walmart Marketplace and expanding their footprint in global eCommerce. Aligned with the Government of India’s Make in India initiative, the summit aims to strengthen exports across key product categories including home textiles, consumables, health and wellness products, food, general merchandise, jewelry, apparel, footwear, toys, and stationery.
The India Growth Summit 2026 will feature an executive session with Walmart leadership, followed by curated learning sessions designed to equip businesses with insights on scaling operations, navigating international retail markets, and leveraging eCommerce platforms for global reach.
Participants will also have the opportunity to register directly on Walmart Marketplace, enabling access to global consumers through cross-border trade. A dedicated Resource Center will offer one-on-one advisory support, helping businesses understand onboarding processes, regulatory requirements, and international trade frameworks with guidance from Walmart’s category teams and industry experts.
“At Walmart, we are passionate about helping businesses thrive on the global stage,” said Manish Joneja, Senior Vice President, Walmart Marketplace. “The India Growth Summit 2026 reflects our commitment to innovation and empowering sellers and suppliers to grow in global markets. We look forward to working with Indian entrepreneurs as they scale their businesses and reach customers worldwide.”
Since launching its Vriddhi Supplier Development Program in 2019, Walmart has trained over 70,000 MSMEs in India, helping them build capabilities for domestic and international growth. The company now plans to train an additional 100,000 MSMEs by 2028, further strengthening the country’s export ecosystem.
With more than 1.4 million sellers on Flipkart, the summit will also provide entrepreneurs with valuable insights into international commerce and create pathways for eligible MSMEs to expand into global markets.
The event will also serve as a platform for innovation, offering suppliers early exposure to emerging retail technologies, evolving product trends, and tools designed to support international business expansion. This initiative builds on Walmart’s successful supplier development programs across markets including Mexico, Chile, Canada, South Africa, and the United States.
Selected applicants will be invited to attend the summit in person, providing them the opportunity to connect with Walmart leaders, industry experts, and fellow entrepreneurs from across India. Businesses interested in participating can register online before April 23, 2026.
