Ahmedabad : The Golden Katar Division successfully conducted Military Civil Fusion Week from March 2 to March 6, 2026, a multi-dimensional outreach initiative aimed at strengthening civil–military collaboration, enhancing strategic awareness, and showcasing the expanding role of the Indian Armed Forces in national development, technological advancement, and humanitarian response.

The week-long programme brought together representatives from the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), disaster management agencies, defence industry partners, academic institutions, and civil administration. The initiative was designed to promote collaborative dialogue, increase public understanding of defence capabilities, and encourage integrated approaches to emerging security and developmental challenges.

The opening day was themed “Sahakarita – Collaborative Effort”, offering participants an overview of the organisational structure, operational ethos, and ongoing modernisation initiatives of the Indian Armed Forces. Interactive sessions on futuristic weapon systems, demonstrations of military drone capabilities, and equipment displays provided attendees with insights into cutting-edge defence technologies.

Day two, titled “Rashtra-Nirman – Role in Nation-Building,” highlighted the contributions of security forces and national institutions in strengthening infrastructure and societal resilience. Discussions involving Central Armed Police Forces and Indian Railways underscored the interconnected role of defence preparedness, infrastructure development, and national progress.

The third day focused on “Apada-Sahayata, Parivartan & Margrekha,” addressing themes such as disaster relief operations, evolving geopolitical dynamics in South Asia, and strategic pathways towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Expert interactions with defence industry leaders and academic institutions explored emerging technologies, drone manufacturing, and the evolving strategic role of Indian defence forces in a rapidly changing security environment.

The initiative concluded with a Samapan (Closing Ceremony) featuring a visual recap of the week’s activities, exchange of perspectives among participating agencies, and a reaffirmation of the importance of sustained civil–military collaboration. Through Military Civil Fusion Week, the Golden Katar Division emphasised the importance of building stronger bonds between the Armed Forces and civil society while encouraging knowledge exchange, innovation, and a shared vision for a secure, resilient, and progressive India.
