New Delhi : Panasonic Life Solutions India on Thursday unveiled its 2026 residential air-conditioner (RAC) line-up, introducing 57 new models designed to perform reliably in India’s extreme weather conditions while improving energy efficiency and durability. The new portfolio spans multiple price segments and includes inverter, fixed-speed, smart, hot-and-cold and high-capacity models, aimed at meeting the cooling needs of households across metro as well as tier-2 and tier-3 markets.

A key highlight of the range is DustBuster Technology, an auto reverse-flow fan mechanism that automatically expels dust from the outdoor unit. The company said the feature helps maintain consistent cooling performance and efficiency in dusty environments common across Indian cities.

“India’s air-conditioning market is at an inflection point, driven by rapid urbanisation, rising aspirations and increasingly extreme weather conditions,” said Hirokazu Kamoda, Managing Director, Panasonic HVAC & CC India.

He added that the company aims to scale its air-conditioner volumes to around two million units by FY28, supported by portfolio expansion, technology investments and a wider presence across emerging markets. According to Abhishek Verma, Head of Product Marketing and Planning, Panasonic HVAC & CC India, the latest range has been developed to address key performance challenges such as heat, dust and harsh outdoor conditions that affect AC efficiency across the country.

“With 57 new RAC models in CY26, we offer one of the widest portfolios in the industry, spanning multiple technologies and capacities,” Verma said.

The line-up includes 3-star, 4-star and 5-star inverter air conditioners, with the premium 5-star series featuring a new Amaze Facia design with dark grey finish and chrome accents. Panasonic said the new ACs integrate the company’s MirAIe smart ecosystem, enabling remote operation, AI-driven adaptive cooling, energy monitoring and service support through connected devices. Wi-Fi models also support Matter interoperability, allowing seamless integration with multiple smart-home platforms.

The air conditioners feature nanoe air purification technology aimed at improving indoor air quality by inhibiting pollutants and odours. Built to withstand harsh operating conditions, the units come with Shield Blu+ anti-corrosion coating, 100 per cent copper coils, stabiliser-free operation, and are designed to operate at ambient temperatures of up to 55°C.

The new range will be available through retail outlets, e-commerce platforms and Panasonic brand stores, with prices starting at ₹32,490.  The launch will be supported by a television campaign featuring the company’s brand ambassador, India’s ‘Captain Cool’ MS Dhoni.
