IITRAM to Host UDGAM 2026, Strengthening Industry–Academia Collaboration in Gujarat

Ahmedabad : The Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM) will host UDGAM 2026, its flagship Industry–Academia Conclave, on February 27–28 at its Ahmedabad campus.

Positioned as a focused engagement platform, UDGAM aims to deepen structured collaboration between academia and industry while aligning engineering education with evolving market needs. IITRAM, a state university known for its industry-oriented research ecosystem, has designed the conclave to facilitate direct dialogue between corporate leadership and emerging talent.

The event is supported by the Industrial Extension Bureau (INDEXTb) and Gujarat Informatics Limited (GIL), reflecting institutional and government backing for innovation-led academic initiatives. Senior representatives from leading organisations including eInfochips, Deepak Group, IBM, Wonder Cement, Tata Consultancy Services, and Kalpataru Projects International Limited are expected to participate. Industry leaders will address students through keynote sessions and panel discussions focused on emerging technologies, employability expectations, digital transformation, and infrastructure-led growth.

A key highlight of the conclave is “Pitch Your Idea,” an innovation challenge where student teams will present entrepreneurial and technology-driven solutions before an expert jury. Selected teams will receive mentorship and rewards aimed at accelerating viable concepts toward commercial implementation. Around 150 students from approximately 10 institutes across Ahmedabad are expected to participate, making UDGAM 2026 a high-impact regional platform for industry–academia convergence.

With Gujarat positioning itself as a hub for manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure development, initiatives such as UDGAM underscore the growing emphasis on building industry-ready talent pipelines and fostering innovation within academic institutions.
