Vadodara : ChargeZone, one of India’s leading electric vehicle (EV) charging networks, marked Road Safety Month with a company-wide initiative focused on strengthening safe and responsible mobility across its workforce and driver ecosystem. The month-long campaign reflected the company’s continued commitment to ensuring that sustainability and safety progress together.

The initiative, led by ChargeZone’s Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team, featured road safety pledges, on-ground awareness activities, defensive driving training, rider awareness sessions, vehicle audits, and risk assessments. Dedicated safety programmes were also conducted for ChargeZone drivers and BillionE fleet drivers to promote a consistent safety culture across operations.

To reinforce safety practices, the company carried out GEMBA walks, driver behaviour observations, and regular vehicle inspections. Awareness was further strengthened through reflective safety stickers, informative videos, and live workplace projections. Technology remained central to the campaign, with barcode-enabled vehicles supporting emergency readiness, driving simulators for skill development, and GPS-based behaviour monitoring helping translate insights into preventive safety measures.

Commenting on the initiative, Ms. Kinnari Hariyani, Director, ChargeZone, said, “Road safety is not only about rules, but about responsibility and everyday choices. At ChargeZone, we believe sustainability must always go hand in hand with safety. This initiative aimed to build awareness, encourage collaboration, and develop habits that help protect lives on the road and beyond.”

Extending the message beyond the workplace, ChargeZone also organised a Road Safety Slogan Contest for employees’ children, encouraging early awareness and reinforcing the importance of road safety across generations. The initiative concluded with a comprehensive review of key data and observations to measure its effectiveness and identify improvement areas, reaffirming ChargeZone’s commitment to keeping road safety a long-term organisational priority.
